Winding Trails Post Acute is currently looking for a Director of Staff Development/Infection Prevention - RN to join our team!

Requirements:Valid RN License in good standingAt least one year's experience as an RN, good understanding of in-servicesPrevious DSD experience, a plusJob Duties:
Communicate effectively with all staff, residents and family membersMaintain a positive and calm disposition when communicating with staff, residents, family, visitors, government entities, etc.Develop and monitor goals and objectives of in-service trainings for the facilityInterview, hire and orient new nursesCreate and maintain records and reports pertinent to in-service requirementsPartner with Administrator and DON to meet daily staffing and PPD goalsReview and create daily staffing scheduleAttend meetings and services on committee's as requiredOther responsibilities include:
Ensure all staff attend and participate in annual OSHA and CDC in-service training programs for hazard communication, TB management, and bloodborne pathogens standardProvide direct patient care when not performing DSD dutiesRepresent the department and participate in top level meetingsImplement recommendations from the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee as they relate to the educational needs of the facilityFollow Infection and Control policies and proceduresReport any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediatelyProtect each resident's file and data with confidentially per HIPAA standards
Salary: $40-$48
