Join our highly motivated team and take pride in your work as we create a better future together.The Senior Accountant will share responsibility for internal and external financial reporting activities, assist with the implementation of new accounting pronouncements, and continually update our accounting documentation and practices as we implement best-practices.Responsibilities

Assist in the coordination and preparation of information included in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for reporting to internal and external stakeholdersAssist in drafting new required footnotesAssist in drafting Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) ensuring that explanations accurately explain the reason for changes in the business and are in the appropriate order of magnitudeTechnical research on accounting issues and new accounting standards impacting the international financial reporting standards (IFRS) reporting processCompletion of the IFRS disclosure checklistAssist in drafting technical accounting memos and accounting policiesAssist with invoice management for global vendorsAssist with accounts payable coding expense classificationAssist with month-end close and consolidation processes to ensure results are prepared in accordance with IFRS and the Company’s policy (i.e. reviewing output from the NetSuite general ledger, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to identify potential errors or omissions, compiling financial statements and their related support)Assist with accounting in complex areas including but not limited to revenue, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity transactions, consolidations, variable interest entities, and share based compensationAssist with special projects and other functions as required by managerAssist in the preparation of schedules provided to external auditors and other external financial subject matter expertsBachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institutionCertified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant, required3-4 years of experience required, public accounting experience idealExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExtremely strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail and the ability to work independentlyProven ability to respond within short time constraints and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracyProficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office productsExperience drafting and/or editing financial statements and footnotesHigh technical accounting proficiency, with experience auditing account reconciliations and revenue recognition; exposure to IFRS a plusMulti-national experience, or exposure to accounting in a multi-currency environment a plusNetSuite, Adaptive, Tableau, Solution 7 and Active Disclosure experience ideal but not required
