RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Product UI Designer in San Jose, CA.
Summary:
A Senior UI Designer on the Product team works closely with UX and Development disciplines to create considered and elegant design systems supporting the visual design of Company and select elements outside of Digital Studio. This hands-on designer role balances creativity and logic and helps ensure a holistic approach is thoughtfully applied across platform typography, iconography, and interface elements.
Responsibilities:
Develop design solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives in a highly collaborative and iterative remote studio environmentBalance strategic design goals with stakeholderCollaborate with cross-functional disciplines (Visual Design, UX, Content Strategy, Development, Publishing, Experience Strategy)Directly contribute to project design and development: create layouts/initial graphic concepts, conceive functional design solutions, create presentations and prototypes
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong design portfolio in product design (especially for web), defining or extending design systems, and/or working within a brand's strict style guidelinesFigma expertise; Prototyping and MS Office experience a plusUnderstanding of web development, including HTML and CSSClear communication and presentation skills that speak to both creative and technical audiencesKeen interest in championing brand identity through a balance of consistency and flexibilityProficiency in the formal elements of design, with a strong focus on typography, balance, and proportionSystematic problem solver; Able to anticipate the impact of design decisions well in advance of their applicationAbility to articulate ideas verbally and digitally; Be clearly understood by creative, product management, and development staff
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
