Ultradent , the global name in oral health, is seeking a US Sales Director to manage the entire US salesforce in the professional channel for Ultradent! The US Sales Director will oversee all sales operations and manage 15 Regional Sales Managers.Individual must live in Salt Lake City, Utah.Following are important responsibilities for this position:Responsible for the creation and implementation of a National Sales strategy driven by customer success factors that align with business goals and objectives.Build, develop, train, manage and motivate high performance Regional Sales Managers capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives.Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement utilizing an optimal sales force structure for national support.Own the career development and growth of current and future sales personnel through training, mentoring, and coaching to ensure that all team members achieve their full potential and career and company goals.Meets or exceeds set targeted sales goals monthly, quarterly, and annually.Operates within established sales expense budget.Oversees daily sales operations and provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.Forecasts/re-forecasts monthly, quarterly, and annual sales based on rolling performance results.Develop and implement policies and best practices relating to sales.Responsible for disciplinary action when needed.Works closely with other sales channels management to ensure synergy within sales and promotional activities.Analyzes market trends and recommends new opportunities for growth, including identifying hiring needs and expansion.Identifies sales “risks and opportunities” for balance of year sales, on a rolling basis.Addresses potential and actualized sales gaps and suggests clean plan of action to mitigate risk.Proactively suggests new services, product bundling, promotions, and innovative sales techniques to drive AOV and retain customers.Continually monitors competitive landscape and recommends appropriate changes or action steps.Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented with the US salesforce.Set an example for the sales force in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational skills, selling skills, and work habits.Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.What you'll need to succeed:Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams to exceed sales goals and growthStrong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirementsStrong relationship building skills, collaboration, and ability to expertly negotiate with internal and external groups, effective at driving results through influenceAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environmentExtensive business acumen and financial ability, analytical and problem-solving skills; strategic thinking and business advisory skillsAbility to manage ambiguity, work independently, and manage data from various sources and across multiple platformsExcellent organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude, detail oriented and ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesExcellent written, oral, and presentation-based communication skills are essential, as this role interacts with senior level leadership both internally and externallyWhat we're looking for form you:5+ years of management experience in an outside, direct sales environment is idealIn-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniquesProven, successful sales track recordFirm understanding of the US dental professional landscape is preferredBS/BA is preferredMust be able to travel up to 50% of the timeMust live in Salt Lake City, Utah or being willing to relocate
