A social services organization in New York City has a great opportunity awaiting a new Human Resource Business Partner/Employee Relations Investigator.

Responsibilities:

The Human Resource Business Partner/Employee Relations Investigator will:Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidanceAnalyze trends and metrics with the HR departmentResolve complex employee relations issues and address grievancesWork closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retentionProvide HR policy guidanceMonitor and report on workforce and succession planningIdentify training needs for teams and individualsEvaluate training programsSuggest new HR strategiesF acilitate complaint resolutionC oordinate investigations and/or collaborate with Office of Compliance ,Employment Counsel and other HRBPsDevelop strategies to reduce future complaints and liabilityA ssist in process improvements related to complaint investigationsP rovide cross coverage for other HRBPsQualifications:

5 + years progressive experience in employee relations/complaint investigations (or related experience)Healthcare industry, higher education, and/or public sector experience preferred;E xperience in a union environment preferredAbility to lead and conduct all aspects of complex workplace investigations.Working knowledge of employment laws and regulationsStrong analytical skills to interpret and dissect complex issuesStrong written communication skills to write clear, concise and logical reports, correspondence and summariesStrong oral communication skills to effectively convey and explain information to all levels of employees and managementStrong skills in effectively conducting investigatory interviewsStrong interpersonal skills; with ability to listen well, demonstrate sensitivity to all parties, and facilitate resolutionsAbility to build relationships and work collaborativelyMS Office Suite proficiency (MS Word, Outlook, Power Point, etc)
