Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT OA in the Command Administrative Department of NAVAL WEAPONS STATION EARLE. Responsibilities You will prepare, track, edit, review and maintain command records of all policies, instructions, standard operating procedures and notices. You will provide leadership updates by establishing a daily work plan, planning and establishing work schedules, deadlines and adjusting work procedures within the work center. You will perform, direct and coordinate special projects, studies and reports. You will serve as Command Records Management Coordinator, maintaining command records management per Navy directives and regulatory requirements. You will serve as Government Purchase Card holder for Command and Staff. You will receive and sort incoming mail by categories such as type of form, special action subject matter, kind of issuance, originator, location or type of correspondence. You will perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing a wide variety of administrative support duties, such as preparing correspondence, creating, reviewing, editing, and tracking instructions and notice, as well as managing records and maintaining files; 2) Reviewing and sorting mail and routing it to appropriate personnel; 3) Maintaining a government purchase card program to process supply requests, track orders, and maintain documents and logs; 4) Using several types of software to be able to process a substantial range of functions within each software type (multiple fonts, graphics, merging documents, columns, tables, etc.). This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
