As we continue to grow our operations, we seek a dynamic Vice President of Operations to join our Seattle team and drive excellence in project execution, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. As the Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of planning and execution of our commercial mechanical and special projects in the greater Seattle area. Reporting directly to the COO, you will play a critical role in leading our operations team and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive business growth and operational excellence. Provide leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and customer satisfaction. Project Management: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all commercial mechanical and special projects, from inception to completion. Monitor project budgets, costs, and schedules, and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and mitigate risks. Hold project team accountable to project controls and business processes ensuring accuracy of data used in making business decisions. Implement best practices in project management methodologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Operational Excellence: Collaborate with Operations Vice Presidents to develop and implement standardized processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to drive continuous process improvement and cost savings. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices. Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering professional growth and development. Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability, empowering team members to excel in their roles. Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for all projects. Analyze project financial performance, identify trends, and implement strategies to maximize profitability and ROI. Required Skills Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization. Solid understanding of project management methodologies, financial management principles, and industry regulations. Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, implement process improvements, and achieve measurable results. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial mechanical contracting, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role. Proven record of successfully managing large-scale commercial mechanical projects from conception to completion.
