Under the leadership of the Deputy A.D. for Student-Athlete Services /SWA and direction of the head team physician, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading the administration and execution of injury prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and care for UCF football student-athletes. The employee's primary responsibilities will focus on the care and prevention of injuries for the football program while following Athletics, University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.Qualifications: Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four (4) years appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six (6) years of appropriate experience. BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, eligibility for State of Florida Athletic Training License, and CPR and AED certification required. Prefer master's degree (or higher) and sports medicine leadership experience at the NCAA Division I level or professional sports. Strong communication, relationship building, and teamwork skills are also preferred. Due to the nature/scope of Athletics and Athletics events, position often requires work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
