Claim Specialist (Management Liability/EPL) - Hybrid

RSUI is searching for a Claim Specialist to join our Management Liability/EPL claims team in Atlanta, Georgia! The Claim Specialist provides a high level of claim handling expertise for Management Liability/EPL exposures.
As RSUI is a highly collaborative work environment with a specialized area of industry focus, in-person interaction, team meetings, and other activities, like mediations, trials, etc. will require an in-person presence. Building deep and respectful relationships is a key component of RSUI's culture, and doing so is accomplished, in part, -through engaging in meaningful in-person dialogue and making personal connections. This position will work RSUI's hybrid work schedule, which requires three days weekly in the office.

Responsibilities:
* Investigation of employment practices claims* Assertive daily handling of complex claims, litigation, high exposure cases and coverage issues while keeping reinsurers updated on developments which allows them to evaluate their exposures* Provision of prompt and accurate coverage positions and liaising with appointed counsel to assess liability and exposure and determine litigation defense strategy* Review, analysis and reporting on legal documents and motion practice associated with employment practices claims* When appropriate, appointing and coordinating with coverage counsel* Ongoing communication and reporting* Attendance at or assistance with underlying litigation and coverage mediations* Providing appropriate reporting on files to the unit leader, team leader and/or sr. management with recommendations on reserving, plans of action, and current evaluation, as required* Acting independently in evaluating claim exposures with assigned dollar authority* Attends business related functions, such as team meetings, mediations, trials, company events, etc.* Various other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* JD strongly preferred; college degree or equivalent business experience required* Minimum 2+ years of ML/ EPL claims handling experience preferred* Attorney experience preferred* Adjuster's licenses required or readily obtainable* Strong technical and analytical skills.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required (telephone, email, and interpersonal)* An excellent understanding and skill level of internal and external customer service.* Exposure to specialties claims handling, particularly employment practices, or equivalent experience* Current, in-depth knowledge of specialized claim handling, legal issues, civil procedures, loss compensation values, principles of investigation, adjustment documentation and evaluation of cases to determine effective course of action* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word and Excel)
