Career Strategy Consultants is seeking a Project Engineer for a large manufacturing client near Casa Grande, AZ. This is a full-time permanent position that will offer a generous base salary and benefits package, lucrative bonus incentive, and provide substantial growth opportunities.
SUMMARY:
The Project Engineer is responsible for scoping capital projects and coordinating operations to ensure that schedules, RFIs, submittals and production orders are processed in a timely manner. The Project Engineer is also available to help interpret job designs, as well as ensure the job follows project plans.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project scoping and planning ensuring project deliverables are achieved. Project management with a focus on minimizing project impact to manufacturing operations. Vendor qualification and management. Provide engineering support to the Operations and Maintenance Staffs. Create layouts, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic drawings. Perform Root Cause Analysis by applying industry recognized techniques. Evaluate project effectiveness through proper metrics, monitoring and reporting. investigate manufacturing issues/customer complaints to determine a root cause. Perform metallurgical evaluations and failure analyses. Travel approximately 25%. Other duties as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS:
Strategic mindset with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, strong operational focus, and critical thinking. Focus on continuous improvement and a drive for results. Detail-oriented and flexible, able to deal with complex and continuously changing project issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and delivery skills and an ability to effectively communicate at all levels. Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and research manufacturing methods and procedures. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams to ensure constructive and productive business relationships. Strong knowledge of basic computer operations and databases, and proficient AutoCAD and in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to create layouts, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings. Basic mechanical, electrical & hydraulic troubleshooting skills. QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferably metallurgic); will consider other engineering degrees based on prior work experience. At least 5 years of project engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with Inventor or Solidworks is a plus.
