Towne Insurance is hiring a Commercial Lines Team Leader to join our Norfolk team. The Commercial Lines Team Leader leads an account management team by overseeing production, managing performance, and coordinating account assignments to team members.

About the RoleOversees delegation of duties within the teamOversight of team members timecards, including PTO managementCompletes performance reviews and provides coaching and development for Commercial Lines team membersResponsible for recruiting, hiring, training of team membersAttends internal office meetings as necessaryConduct monthly team meetingsMonitor team reports and hold team members accountable for outstanding itemsManage commercial book of businessKeeps P & C License active and increases insurance knowledge by attending continuing education classesSkills and experience you'll need:

A successful candidate will have an active P&C license and a minimum of five years' experience in commercial insurance, as well as the following:

Able to work independentlyStrong organizational and leadership skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsProblem solver and critical thinkerStrong attention to detailExcellent telephone skillsDependable and punctualComputer skills (Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook)Bonus points if you have:
