Job DescriptionPosition Overview

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Vice President of Public Affairs. The Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to senior management teams; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts and oversees special projects. The Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial environment. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a diversity of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Sustain a daily calendar of meetings and events; resolve any scheduling issues.Arrange travel and accommodations for EVP, Public Affairs. Prepare expense reports.Manage the EVP’s contacts.Prepare Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentations, agendas, reports, special projects and other documents in support of objectives for the organization.Respond to and create meeting requests by gathering and providing information and referring incoming inquiries to the appropriate staff.Use discretion, confidentiality, and good judgment to handle confidential business matters.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree5+ years of related experience required in working in an administrative support role.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Demonstrated ability and temperament to work with sensitive information.Ability to work onsite in Washington, D.C.Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to function well in a high-paced environment; proven ability to meet deadlines.Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to interact with people of all levels in a confident, professional manner.Have team-oriented experience and approach.
