JOB SUMMARYThe Cesar Chavez Foundation Education Fund is seeking a part-time, seasonal team member who will oversee our implementation of CCF Summer Learning Programs across multiple districts. The part-time (24 hours/week) Manager of Summer Programs will contribute in a variety of ways to ensuring strong implementation of our summer ELA and math curricula and training.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEExperience managing complex projects to achieve student and educator goalsExpertise in ELA and math TK-8 instruction and assessmentsExperience leading adult professional developmentMasters or equivalent background10+ years of instructional and/or program management experience in the field of educationROLE RESPONSIBILITIESSupport Summer Program Design & Implementation:- Develop teacher training materials- Customize training and curriculum materials for various district partners- Provide a high level of service and dedication to students and teachers across our summer partners- Develop and implement project plans including goals, timelines, and responsibilities and effectively communicate these plans with your internal team of program design colleagues and part-time consultants- Evaluate project outcomes on an ongoing basis and recommend improvements for future projects- Oversee development of documents and systems that improve quality and efficiencies as our summer programs grow into additional districtsManaging Team & Collaboration:- Trains, coaches, and evaluates support staff, including consultants- Improve systems and make recommendations to increase role clarity and efficiency- Collaborates and supports other CCF team members as needed to ensure strong implementation of all summer programsQUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED CHARACTERISTICSThorough knowledge of TK-8 education landscape and embodies a deep-seated belief in the ability of students in under-resourced communities to achieveExpertise in CCF’s approach to TK-8 ELA and mathematics instruction and assessmentAbility to translate new ideas into easily digestible plans, presentations, and programsAbility to be nimble, try out new ideas and improve programs as they developHighly organized and detail-orientedTeam player; Pitches in wherever needed to help the team's work lead to success.
