Computing Systems Professional 2 $83,900 - $136,600 The Sensitive and Special Operations Division (SSO) is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Windows System Administrator to work as a member of the Special Security IT & Cyber Operations (SSO-3) Windows Services Team. The Windows Services Team builds and supports multiple accredited Windows computing environments in support of critical intelligence missions for national security. Candidates will be expected to provide technical support with a working knowledge of a wide range of issues and solve IT problems in support of the mission, creating and maintaining secure and compliant Windows IT resources and platforms. Computing Systems Professional 3 $101,700 - $168,200 In addition to the roles and responsibilities of a Computing Systems Professional 2, a Computing Systems Professional 3 will be expected to be a self-motivated and experienced Windows System Administrator to work as a member of the SSO-3 Windows Services Team. The Windows Services Team builds and supports multiple accredited Windows computing environments in support of critical intelligence missions for national security. Candidates will be expected to independently solve tough IT problems with an advanced working knowledge in support of the mission, creating and maintaining secure and compliant Windows IT resources and platforms. What You Need Minimum Job Requirements: Technical Knowledge Demonstrated proficiency in configuring, deploying, and administrating Windows workstations in an accredited environment. Proficiency with Active Directory and Windows Server functionality (GPOs, domain management, WSUS, etc). Familiarity with modern desktop hardware specifications, including the ability to specify computing resources based on user requirements. Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate technical terms to layperson's terms and present them to audiences outside of organization. Skill in working closely with customers and suppliers to define expectations and mutual responsibilities. Collaboration Demonstrated success integrating with Cybersecurity, including following all applicable Cybersecurity process, integration of Cybersecurity guidance into systems integration and maintenance, and advising Cybersecurity on IT solutions to Cybersecurity issues. Additional Job Requirements for Computing Systems Professional 3: In addition to the requirements outlined above, qualification at the higher level requires: Technical Knowledge Ability to solve problems across an enterprise using automated tools or automation (WSUS, Ivanti, Tanium, SCCM / Endpoint Manager, etc). Experience documenting system configurations, creating deployment guides, and writing standard operating procedures for both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to guide and mentor junior system administrators, enabling other teams' IT operations through effective documentation of problem-solving, automation, process creation, or collaboration. Familiarity with formal IT project management methodologies with the ability to interpret mission requirements into IT needs, break down needs into tasks, and perform or delegate tasks to create or maintain computing infrastructure. Training / Certification : It is highly desirable for candidates to possess Windows certifications or have the ability to obtain them. Education/Experience at CSP2 : Position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 4 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. Education/Experience at CSP3: Position requires a Bachelor's degree and 8 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, advanced vendor and/or professional certifications are desired. Desired Qualifications: Experience integrating Dell PowerEdge servers, including familiarity with IDRAC, RAID, and Windows OS deployment. Experience with basic network configurations. Experience integrating solutions into a wider WAN / domain. Experience with Confluence and JIRA, not only for documentation but also for project management. Active Q, or TS//SCI clearance. Work Environment: Work Location : The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad. Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.
