Summary:
The Sr. Manager of People & Culture will proactively manage all HR functions including, but not limited to, the following: recruitment, employee relations, employee performance management, compensation/benefits, training, employee recognition, diversity and inclusion, and organizational development. The Human Resources Manager will drive creative HR initiatives and advise management in human resources policies and program matters. The Human Resource Manager will have a key role in working to achieve Community Resource Center’s strategic priorities, which includes being an employer of choice in San Diego County.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Partner with the organization’s leadership team and key stakeholders in the planning, development, recommendation and implementation of human resources programs and practices that support the development and advancement of CRC.Oversee and manage the Human Resources department; plan and organize all activities of the department. Participate in developing plans, procedures, goals, and objectives.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures, prepare, and maintain employee handbook in coordination with the Executive Team.Perform benefit administration to include claims resolution, invoice approval, and annual re-evaluation of policies for cost effectiveness, information activities program, and cash flow.Develop and maintain affirmative action program: file EEO-1 annually, maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.Develop and implement strategic recruitment plan ensuring selection of highly qualified personnel from diverse backgrounds.Create and then lead the HR department’s KPI dashboard. Report regularly on progress and challenges to the COO.Implement and annually update compensation programs; analyze compensation, and monitor performance evaluation program and revise, as necessary.Ensure mandated training is provided and completed by all employees. Implement training programs as needed, such as: interviewing, diversity and inclusion, new manager training.Coordinate, develop and implement employee engagement programs. Promote HR best practices and foster collaboration across departments. Facilitate cross functional groups working together to accomplish CRC objectives.Other duties as assigned by COO.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in human resources required, master's degree preferred. 5-8 years of experience in a leadership role may substitute for master's degree.5 or more years of Human Resources experience required.HR Certification preferred.Broad generalist background including coaching, and counseling, performance management, employee involvement, teambuilding, as well as compensation and benefits.Proven knowledge of Federal and State labor laws required.Exhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our senior management team.Must be able to read, write and communicate well in English.Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required.Intermediate or advanced experience in the following: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, DocuSign, ADP.Physical requirements:
