About the Role:
The Project Manager is accountable for providing project management and direction for a project or portfolio of projects with annual revenues up to $50M. The individual is involved in project planning and start-up, project financials, project pre-construction, project execution and close-out, and HSE and Q, and maintains a relentless focus on meeting and exceeding customer needs and expectations.
As a Project Manager at Graham, you will:
Collaborate with Preconstruction in preparing, revising, and monitoring information regarding reports related to costs involved in developing the project budgetManage the subcontracting process, which includes facilitating initial scope review meetings, finalizing agreed processes, developing subcontract scopes of work, and managing the subcontract distribution and final execution processDirect the process of determining the quantity of budget estimates/deliverables to the clientHire key personnel and subcontractors for the projectManage the project administration and daily operations, escalating issues as necessaryMaintain a timespan of control of up to 10 months for the project(s)Manage the project schedule and milestone dates, and ensure that close-out checklists are prepared and maintained during the project lifecycleMaintain relationships and communication tools as needed with suppliers and other key project personnel to verify that materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and personnel are obtained and/or delivered when requiredReview performance standards and metrics against which the team will be measuredMonitor the change management process, which includes identifying change events, submitting change notices, pricing, and tracking change work, optional changes in project scope, and negotiating change orders with clientsReview contract documents to obtain a clear understanding of deliverables, which will ensure project work will be completed on time and within budgetContribute as appropriate to the pre-award process by determining project scope, planning, and estimatingAssist in the input of regular status reports for company executives and project-steering committees, detailing the status of the project and recommending actions to be takenMonitor and control progress, costs, and budgets throughout the project lifecycle, utilizing Graham Toolbox when appropriateQualifications & Experience
A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is requiredMinimum of 5 years of direct experience required. Depending upon the project size, scope, and complexity, the years of experience may varySolid technical proficiency in project KPIs and the three core areas of Estimating, Field Management, and Project ManagementProficiency in estimate preparation, forecasting, pricing, risk/claim management, contract management, profit and loss responsibility, scheduling, and qualityAbility to make recommendations and take action based on technical proficiencyProficiency in using scheduling and project management softwareExperience with CDOT and DOTI preferredCompensation and Benefits:
