Responsible to plan and direct the accomplishment of department objectives, as well as perform a wide variety of duties required to maintain the efficient, day to day operations of a department within a specific branch office. The Contracts Leader is responsible for all aspects of contract projects from the decision to estimate to the initial sale through completion of work.Job Responsibilities:Organize personnel to accomplish goals efficiently; prioritize and focus work efforts as required, and assist in the recruitment of additional personnel as requiredMonitor progress of projects, confer with project managers, and review reports to ensure progression according to schedule and budgetary guidelines/forecastsConduct monthly cost to complete meetings providing specific written summary information to Branch LeaderResponsible for financial aspects of all projects, including margin, collections, and cash flowManage Sales reps and sales plan to meet or exceed sales goalsManage all project activities from design through completed installationEnsure the proper handoff of project information throughout project life cycleResponsible for the technical correctness of reports and proposalsAdvise project managers on technical project issuesEnsure company safety guidelines are followed on all projects and tasksConsult with management to identify, plan, and develop methods to continually obtain greater efficiency and improve business processesMake certain all departments maintain historical records of activities for future useDirect, assist, instruct, check, follow-up, and perform manager assigned responsibilities to maximize effectiveness and attain office objectivesReview workflow and reassign responsibilities based on anticipated workloadsDevelop and review quotes and proposals for prospective work.Build relationships with GC’s, end users, and AHJ’s to help drive quality business to the branchCoach and mentor, the division managers in the branch to help them build both technical and business acumenDevelop reporting personnel to ensure growth and continued success of organizationResponsible for directing, motivating, developing, evaluating and reviewing subordinates work.Managing staff, preparing work schedules, and assigning projects and dutiesMonitoring and controlling resources used by subordinates.Interview and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.Review department payroll hours.Provide other support whether apparent, required or needed.Complete additional projects as developed and assigned by your supervisor or management.Job Qualifications:Strong knowledge of the Fire Protection Industry; Fire Protection Construction knowledge is requiredExperience in project management, design, and/or sales is requiredConfirmed ability to understand the technical and financial aspects of the positionAbility to review, analyze and discuss financial information with regards to branch operationDemonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team to accomplish goalsGood and effective verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background and reference checkAdditional Skills:Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.Proficiency in various computer programs and Microsoft Office software programs.Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude.Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.Dedicated to superior client serviceWhy work for Eastern Fire?We offer competitive pay for experienced individuals.We are owned by the APi Group, a publicly traded, multi-billion-dollar corporation based in Minnesota.
