Job Description:1099 Independent ContractorLength of Contract: Minimum 6 months extendable to 1 yearShift: Business HoursRemote + 80% Travelling all over the US and CanadaSimphony POS Implementation Specialist Information Technology (IT)Summary/ObjectiveAs a Simphony POS Implementation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the implementation and support of store systems, ensuring the smooth transition and function of IT operations across restaurant locations; responsible for testing and evaluating new technology, leveraging existing systems, managing Simphony point-of-sale (POS) vendor/partner relationships, and providing comprehensive documentation and training. The ideal candidate is flexible, agile, and adept at handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. This role reports to the Store Systems Manager.Role is a contract position, guaranteed for 1 year with the possibility of extension. Essential FunctionsAssist in the maintenance and management of all aspects of daily Simphony POS functionality as it pertains to IT Operations.Test and evaluate system updates and patches to enhance or correct operational efficiency and customer experience.Leverage existing technology resources effectively to optimize system performance.Manage relationships with support partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Provide support to end-users, troubleshooting issues, and resolving technical problems related to Simphony POS and related reporting. Participates in capturing existing infrastructure and assists in determining hardware and network needs for conversion. Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and initiatives.Assist with helpdesk tasks and provide technical support as needed.Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor.Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.Required Education & ExperienceExpert level knowledge of Simphony POS (Multi-Revenue Center), Reporting & Analytics, Labor Management, and Interfaces.Experience with Simphony and R&A version upgrades.(5) years in a System Implementation and face-to-face Support role.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.Familiarity with SQL and JSON for data analysis and integration purposes.Basic understanding of Networking TCP/IP and VLANs to troubleshoot network-related issues.Experience in working in or performing helpdesk tasks, providing support to non-technical end-users.Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and prioritizing effectively.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Availability to travel (80%) across the United States and Canada via air as needed.Required Skills:•BASIC •Interfaces •Steps •Operational Efficiency •Customer Experience •JSON •Travel •Analytics •Infrastructure •Networking •Availability •Technical Support •Integration •Data Analysis •Information Technology •Troubleshooting •Security •Education •Documentation •SQL •Testing •Maintenance •Business •Communication •Training •Management
