Starting as a single car-hop restaurant in 1949, ENPHG is now a portfolio of foodservice concepts serving 50 million guests annually in its restaurants, on college and corporate campuses, and in every state through our online store.Job SummaryThe Point of Sales (POS) Analyst supports strategic POS initiatives and guest-facing technology by maintaining POS menu & meal plan programming, payment systems, and third-party ordering integrations for our restaurant and contract dining operations. This position works closely with our internal teams and external partners to align these systems with business needs. This role will also scope and implement change requests, which may include creating and maintaining the menu item database, modifiers, pricing, touchscreens, and print classes, as well as performing troubleshooting as directed. The Analyst is expected to have a working knowledge of multiple different POS platforms currently in use, such as Micros Simphony, Nextep, Transact, and others, and may need to upskill themselves on new and emerging systems.ResponsibilitiesPOS and Guest Facing Technology Support (25%):Provide scoping, configuration, testing, maintenance, and/or installation assistance on POS, payment devices, and other guest facing technology.Work with card system vendors to develop programming solutions that support new meal plan structures.Lead or assist with onsite technology placement, power, and networking installation.Serve as a Level 1 escalation resource for internal helpdesk, providing remote and onsite support as needed. Communicate with internal customers & close tickets in a timely manner.Menu Programming & Support (50%):Collaborate with operations teams to program and update menu items in the POS system and associated third party ordering systems.Ensure accurate prompting, pricing, and bar code references.Configure POS to work correctly with card access systems that are tied to meal plans for students, faculty, or other dining program participants.Ensure seamless user ordering interface on POS touchscreens & guest facing devices (kiosks, web/app ordering)Third-Party Ordering Integrations (Web, App, Kiosk, etc.) (25%):Partner with third-party vendors as directed to configure POS integrations with online and mobile ordering systems. Provide menu database data as required to facilitate correct product mapping.Perform thorough user acceptance testing on new integrations, and document findings clearly and concisely.Partner with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot problems and identify short- and long-term solutions.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Hospitality, or a related field.3+ years of experience operating and/or supporting POS and/or retail systems.Strong knowledge of POS hardware, software, and associated peripherals.Basic understanding of networking concepts as they relate to POS systems.Solid time management skills; ability to meet deadlines and facilitate collaborative problem solving in a fast-paced retail environment.Ability to communicate with technical & non-technical team members and vendors, in verbal and written communication.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Up to 25% travel required for onboarding new client locations, scoping new technology implementations, and on-site troubleshooting.Foodservice experience and industry certifications are a plus.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
