KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER

This is a full-time role (Remote – Home Based) with company benefits. Travel is up to 50%.

Overview

As the Key Account Manager – Ingredients / Industrial, you will be responsible for developing and driving strategic initiatives within existing customer accounts and targeting new customers to accelerate top-line growth across our manufacturing capabilities. This role is a part of the Foodservice Sales team and represents a broad portfolio of products, including edible beans and pulses, tortillas and chips, hominy, and salsa. You will develop and lead market strategy recommendations both internally and externally, helping drive profitable distribution nationally. The candidate will negotiate contracts, build relationships with potential new partners, and seek opportunities to generate margin and support business growth. Successful candidates will leverage their existing customer relationships, technical expertise, and ingredient market knowledge to elevate Teasdale’s customer portfolio. You will play a managing role in the Sales organization, and work closely with our Procurement, Demand Planning, Product Lifecycle, Operations, R&D / Quality, and Consumer Insights teams to devise successful solutions and processes that are built to drive sales. This role requires a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adaptable to change.

What You'll Do

Strategic leader responsible for driving market penetration with existing and new partners via in-person and virtual calls, product training, food shows, etc.Collaborate directly with key stakeholders to architect and nurture a robust new business pipeline.Manage the complete trajectory from concept to rollout of opportunities.This leader will exhibit subject matter expertise and demonstrate from experience they have successfully built and created joint business planning models for customers.Develop annual business plans across top customers.Delivering key business and financial metrics including topline results (Revenue, Volume, Share) and key financial metrics (e.g. EBITDA) is required.Collaborative leader working cross-functionally to develop and implement overall customer selling stories while providing key insights to deliver all key execution metrics (Assortment, Pricing, Merchandising, and Innovation).Develop and leverage top-level relationships at major accounts to optimize Teasdale’s positioning in the market.Understand market trends, pricing, risk management, and commercial landscape for edible beans and pulses.Provide SIOP and Forecasting direction monthly across the customer base to the Teasdale Demand Planning team to ensure flawless execution via OTIF.Utilize business intelligence data, including sales reporting, demand planning / forecasting, syndicated data, customer insights, and OTIF reporting, to drive key selling stories as part of overall strategic planning with our customers and distributors.Manage and coordinate broker and distribution partners as needed.Understand market trends, pricing, risk management, and commercial landscape.Have a deep understanding of product functionality.Manage key customer portal processes and procedures including but not limited to Trace One, Global Data Sync, Customer Specific Portals, and more.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Service, Finance, New Product Development, Demand Planning, and Operations to optimize sales flow.

What You'll Need

Experience developing, planning, and leading strategic customer initiatives.Experience calling on ingredient and industrial customers.College degree required.Excellent data analytical and organizational skills.Ability to break down ambiguous problems into concrete, manageable components and think through optimal solutions.Self-starter mentality with a high degree of follow-through; can own and take strategic initiatives to completion.Excellent communication skills.Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred.Someone who gets things done is innovative and works with a sense of urgency.Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome.Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor.
