Key Account Manager

to work

remotely

in the United States.What You Will Be Doing:

Strategic Account Management

- Build and maintain high-value, strong working relationships with current and new accounts in NA, identifying customer needs and providing appropriate sales support to maintain and grow both existing and new business.Sales Planning

- With a strong track record of sales growth in previous roles, meet or exceed annual sales goals and growth budget, setting both strategy and targets for customer growth in the assigned territory.Customer Engagement

- Frequently conduct customer in-person and virtual visits. As the company's primary point of contact in all commercial matters, build strong relationships with customer stakeholders at multiple levels within their organization.Develop a robust understanding of customers' key needs and requirements while enhancing trust to resolve any potential problems or complaints.Maintain and communicate customer forecasting and ordering needs aligning with the company's Supply Chain, Demand Planning, and Plant Operations to ensure proper inventory planning and production schedules.Maintain customer pricing file & communication on contract and market adjustments +/-.Manage spot business/rush offers as needed.Market Intelligence and Industry Trends

- Monitor, analyze, and report on potential new product opportunities, capturing competitive activities while engaging customers' interests and needs.Sales Reporting (SalesForce CRM)

- Maintain timely and accurate customer records, including call reports, a robust opportunity pipeline that drives long-term sustainable growth for both the company and the customer, strategic account plans, market/competitive intelligence, and lead documentation.Internal Collaboration/Company Team

- Continual engagement and communication with internal stakeholders, including Supply Chain, Technical and Regulatory, Legal and Finance, and Business Units, to create a timely 'best' solution for the customer extracting maximum value.Continuous engagement of Customer Care, Shipping, and Operational Logistics to ensure the company meets customer needs and requirements.Keep up to date with changes and updates in the product portfolio and in the market.Keep updated on feedstock and upstream developments that impact product price movements.What We Need From You:

Required Education:

bachelor's degree (chemistry, chemical engineering, or business administration, marketing).Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in sales with proven success building and maintaining long-term commercial relationships. Experience selling surfactants and other related chemistry in PC & HI&I preferred.Chemical industry experience: natural chemicals or surfactants used in home and personal care products are preferred. Or complex ingredient companies.Consummate professional with a strong commercial understanding acting with integrity and confidentiality.Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.Keen relationship-selling, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Driven, agile, organized, and entrepreneurial self-starter.Strategic thinker (business development, opportunities).Exceptional multi-tasker - able to prioritize and manage time efficiently to meet critical deadlines.Approachable, team-player mentality.Deep understanding of order to cash process preferred.Sound computer skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, and CRM (Salesforce).ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Frequent travel required as per business needs (some international).Percentage of Travel: >50% (To customers, trade show/conferences and sales meetings required as per business needs).Valid Passport.Ability to work remotely.Work primarily performed in indoor office setting with extended periods at computer or phone.Fluent English Language.
