DeMayo Law Offices is seeking an experienced, self-motivated HR Specialist to assist with the firm's human resource processes, including employee engagement, new hire orientation, benefits, payroll, and compliance. In this key role, you will help support and facilitate organizational change, while being at the forefront of the firm's efforts support the engagement and growth of its employees.
Responsibilities
As part of the HR team, developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives, including, but not limited to, assisting with the DeMayo Cares ProgramOrganizing and conducting new hire orientationRespond to benefit inquiries, including enrollments, status changes and other general questionsManaging post-offer through new hire processes, including background & drug screeningAssisting with change management and change communicationAssisting with terminations, including offboarding process and exit interviewsMaintaining employee e-files; processing new hires, status changes, and terminationsAssisting with performance management processes, including new hire evaluationsProject work such as procedure documentation, employee recognition, job description reviews, etc.Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment lawQualifications
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field is required3+ years' experience as an HR professionalPHR or SHRM-CP certification, or working towards certification requiredExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office and ability to learn and use various software programs; experience with Paylocity HRIS a plusMust be able to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and follow-through.?Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle a diversity of tasks, while helping the team meet multiple deadlinesBenefits
