Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. The primary role of this position is to administer and transact in a timely and accurate manner all shipping and receiving documents and process flow. The Coordinator ensures all material and products are properly monitored and accounted for. A successful candidate is a detail oriented, customer service focused, problem solver with the ability to handle assignments efficiently and accurately with little supervision.
Responsibilities
Assist with import and export duties
Assist with receiving items
Creating bills of lading, packing lists, and other shipping documents for all shipments
Creating and updating receiving reports through Excel and Oracle
Load and unload trailers.
Desired Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent/ Associate degree or better preferred
Forklift experience preferred but not required.
Previous experience with 3PL organizations
Previous exposure to logistics and transportation processes and practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle
Knowledgeable of good safety practices and quality standards
Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
Excellent attention to detail and quality with accuracy in their work
Self-motivated, self-directed self-starter willing to accept responsibility for results
Demonstrates a clear understanding of policies and procedures of operation; complies with and applies
policies and procedures appropriately
Assesses situations accurately and determines appropriate action
Takes ownership for own self-development
Work Environment
Must be able and comfortable to work in a heavy-industrial environment
Must be able to walk to work locations 100% of the time
Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel and reach below/above shoulders
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, see, hear, reach, bend, and stoop. When receiving parcel shipments may need to lift up to 60 lbs
