As a vital member of the Northpoint team, the Clinical Director will serve as a member of the Nebraska leadership team and a trusted advisor on the quality execution of clinical and operational processes. This person will oversee that the facility provides ethical and effective substance use disorder and mental health counseling, intervention and family services to patients. This person ensures staff compliance with national and state regulations, in-house policies, procedures, and clinical programming. This person will participate in the hiring process and provide staff supervision, coaching and discipline, and training and oversight to ensure all staff is in compliance with all facility rules and policies. This person will oversee the counseling and clinical support teams, and will work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient care and treatment outcomes.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the inpatient program including treatment services, programming, and all key responsibilities required by state and federal guidelinesOptimize clinical and operational processes while ensuring excellent patient care standardsCollaborate with the Market VP and other leadership to assist in meeting business and clinical objectives; support/maximize current business activities and provision of quality patient careEvaluate staff competency. Provide professional growth and development of staff and provide direction and support to the staff regarding attainment of short-term and long-term goals and objectivesAudit charts for policy & procedure compliance, appropriate documentation, and completion of all internal paperwork/documentsIdentify at least one person to be responsible for clinical supervision duties, if not acting in this roleCreate, update, and review evidenced-based curriculum utilized in lecture and educational sessions for clients alongside the expanded clinical teamManage a small caseload and run groups as necessarySchedule and facilitate quarterly all staff meetings, monthly Rec Tech meetings, and counseling staff meetings at least twice weeklyCreate, provide, and research in-house clinical trainings to improve team skillsDirectly oversee client risk assessment needs and follow throughCase staffing, individual case supervision, review of case record maintenance, treatment planning, facilitate individual and group therapy, discharge planning, and documentation standardsEnsure staff knowledge and utilization of all written Northpoint guidelines, protocol, policies, and proceduresRecognize and respond to opportunities for problem solving amongst clinical staffDelegate growth opportunities and tasks to clinical staff when necessaryReview clinical documentation daily and provide signatures as neededWork closely, cooperatively, and amicably while maintaining professional boundaries with all staff and clientsMonitor clinical staff organization and cover scheduling needs; organize holiday group coverageOversee clinical correspondence; probation officers, outside counselors, doctors, court system, and all external needs for clinical communicationPromote employee engagement to achieve a positive and productive workforceAdhere to all company policies and proceduresMaintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of careOther clinically appropriate services and special projects as assignedQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:Master’s Degree of Mental Health, Social Sciences or commensurate experience requiredMust hold an active substance abuse or mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are renderedMust maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire, and for the entire duration of employmentMinimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible exempt level experience in mental health disciplineMinimum of two (2) years in an administrative or leadership capacityAbility to work with a diverse client population and possess strong interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating clients assignedMust hold strong personal boundaries and able to build rapport with patientsMust understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing boardDemonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain internal and external relationships in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on execution and resultsAction-oriented with the ability to: adapt to change, work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive to finishMust have solid clinical judgmentExperience with a growing company with multiple entities preferredPREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Excellent critical thinking skillsExcellent organizational abilitiesStrong mentoring, and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise; ability to influence and engage employees and peersExceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, board of directors, and staffAbility to operate as a practical tactical as well as a strategic thinkerComfortable analyzing information and dealing with complexityQuickly and effectively identify and resolve problematic situationsAble to handle confidential material in a reliable mannerAbility to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalismAbility to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and accuracyProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteREQUIRED CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:Must hold an active substance abuse or mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are renderedMust maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire, and for the entire duration of employmentMust have an active
