Role Summary:
The VP, Marketing is responsible for the management, direction and growth of marketing at all clubs in the Century Golf portfolio. The VP, Marketing is a member of the Century Golf management team and facilitates collaborative relationships across Century Golf and with external stakeholders to promote the values, team culture and mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:Designs marketing campaigns to build the Century Golf brand and create continuity across all clubs.Develop strategic partnerships with others in the golf industry to increase brand loyalty and awareness.Responsible for leading and selecting a high-performing, well-versed, marketing team ensuring workflow efficiency and clarity and protocols, policies, and procedures well understood and consistently applied to.Supervises the workflow of the departments marketing efforts including performance management, training, support, evaluating, and coaching.Collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, including Century Golf leadership team, other members of the private club teams including General Managers, Head Professionals, and other leadership teams.Performs golf industry analysis and competitor evaluations by analyzing data with attention to trends, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and based on findings, makes recommendations to Century Golf leadership team on changes to strategies, workflows, and policy to continuously improve private club operations and lead implementation of agreed-upon improvements.
General:
Manage direct reports including hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring.Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality of all company procedures and information about team members, club members and families.Follow Century Golf policies and procedures and participate in any required Quality Improvement activities, staff training and meetings.Communicate regularly with Supervisor and team regarding workload and priorities.Timely completion of all mandated trainings and education.Exercises flexibility in performing assignments as business needs evolve.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Management, Marketing, or related field; golf experience preferred.Minimum 10 plus years in leadership Marketing position.Minimum 10 plus years in the golf and sporting goods industries.Knowledge of golf club management and membership.Additional:
Develop marketing strategies, plans and executing them.Skilled in design, graphics, logos and other promotional products.Oversee website design, functionality, and content creation including imaging and video.Manage social media, digital marketing, promotions and events and track engagement.Create consistent branding across all channels.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Thorough understanding of market developments.Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.eCommerce design, development and analytics experience.
