100% Remote Implementation Engineer Rate upto $85/hr W2 As an Implementation Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of integrated circuit (IC) chips, ensuring they meet performance, power, and area requirements. You will collaborate closely with design teams to translate chip specifications into physical design solutions, utilizing CAD tools and methodologies to achieve optimal results. This role requires a strong understanding of semiconductor physics, digital circuit design, and VLSI principles. Responsibilities: Physical Design Implementation: Perform floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure for IC chips. Optimize chip layouts to meet performance goals while minimizing power consumption and area utilization. Verification and Testing: Conduct simulations and tests to verify functionality, timing, and power integrity of designs. Analyze and debug design issues, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including architecture, design, verification, and manufacturing. Present design methodologies, results, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders. Project Management: Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables related to chip implementation. Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure project success. Documentation: Document design methodologies, processes, and results for future reference and continuous improvement. Maintain thorough and organized records of design iterations and changes. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, digital circuit design, and VLSI principles. Proficiency in CAD tools such as Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics for chip implementation. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Tcl, Python) for automation and tool flow development is a plus. Problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to analyze complex issues. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
