Job DescriptionThe Sales Coordinator supports the sales & marketing operations with the goal of maximizing rates and over-all revenues. Partners with hotel management to lead the sales & marketing operations and relationships with the goal of maximizing negotiated group and transient rate in conjunction with overall revenue; works closely with accounting as applicable to any sales related accounting measures; provides outstanding customer service on behalf of the property and its ownership.

Essential FunctionsAssists sales team to identify new contacts, develops sales leads, and responds to sales opportunities in order to maximize revenueFully understands the hotel amenities, packages, and promotionsGenerates and develops sales leads and contacts potential clients to build business relationshipsProduces proposals, event orders, and reservation confirmations for all clientsProduces accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the GM, DOSM and other managersRecords all appointments, follow-up meetings, and effectively tracks business leadsRegularly monitors client satisfaction and resolves any outstanding issues to foster relationships and secure future businessArranges and completes site visits and hotel toursChampions, networks, and prospects to raise awareness of the brandActs as a business partner, not a supplier to key accounts. Talks with key accounts about their business challenges. Listens and partners to find ways for the hotel or brand to solve client problemsIs an expert in the market and understands how to differentiate the brand in the marketCompletes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needsExperience and SkillsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 1 years of experience in sales or an equivalent number of years of education and sales experienceExcellent verbal, written and presentation skills; Ability to communicate effectively with community partners, vendors, external parties, and across internal divisionsShares a passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman AssociatesSchedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotelWORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environmentThis role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machinesExposed to ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment; quiet to moderate noise levelPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to sit or stand at a desk or other areas of the property throughout the day based on business needsMust have the ability to move around freely throughout the property and office, and necessity varies from day to dayMust be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel in a timely mannerMust be able to lift up to 25-30 lbs. occasionallyRequires grasping, writing, sitting or standing, moving about freely, repetitive motions, bending, and communicating effectivelyJob BenefitsBenefits
