Summary:

ValidaTek is searching for a Voice Technician to support and maintain telephony systems supporting a large telecommunications and networking infrastructure in a secured DoD environment. This individual will have a strong background in all telecommunications systems and utilize this expertise to troubleshoot and resolve end user issues. Responsibilities: In this role, the Voice Techician will: Configure and maintain all customer voice communication systems, ensuring high availability. Troubleshoot issues to identify root causes of issues with all telecommunications systems and implement high quality resolutions, satisfying the end user and establishing confidence that future issues will be efficiently and effectively resolved. As the telecommunications SME, stay current with all best practices and emerging technologies, making recommendations for future enhancements and efficiency of processes. Ensure all systems meet and exceed DoD standards, security requirements, and required processes. Document and maintain detailed records of all system configurations, issues, and resolutions. Work collaboratively with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of all telecommunication systems with other IT systems. Provide outstanding customer service support in a highly visible environment.

Qualifications: To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following: 3+ years of related voice technician experience in a DoD environment. Experience configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and fixing issues on the data network and telephony systems (ISDN, VoIP, Teleconferencing Devises, etc.) and associated technologies in conformity with DoD processes and standards. Proven customer service and support skills with leadership and stakeholders in a highly visible environment. Fundamental knowledge of the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/IP protocol suite. Must be well-versed with MAC and IP addresses. Strong communication skills to support strong customer service activities. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. Must have one or more network certifications or related telephony certifications from Avaya, Nortel, AT&T, etc. All candidates must have an active Secret clearance. All candidates must have a bachelors degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience. Posted Min Pay Rate: USD $58,183.94/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate: USD $96,973.24/Yr.

Salary Disclosure: Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
