The Expert, Estimating is responsible for preparing,coordinating, and overseeing the preparation of conceptual anddetailed estimates for various complex projects. Will directthe quantitative development of material, labor, andsubcontract take-offs, as well as the coordination ofinformation among Engineering, Procurement, Construction, andproject teams.Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Develops the estimate plan and coordinates estimatedevelopment with the project teamPrepares Work Package Estimate breakdowns in conjunctionwith the project teamLeads the development of the total project estimate;detailed and/or conceptualPrepares the total Project Basis of EstimatePrepares the Estimate Risk Analysis and makes costcontingency recommendationsAnalyzes and makes independent recommendations regardingsolutions to problems with varying complexity in accordancewith organization and/or project objectives and guidelinesSupports preparation and Presentation of Project Estimatesto Executive and Client management TeamsSupports vendor and subcontractor solicitation,pre-qualification and coordination of pricingReviews subcontractor and vendor bid packagesOther duties as assignedShow your expertise
High School Diploma or GED required10+ years of experience in the commercial constructionindustry5+ years of competitive bid experience preferredExperience on Engineering, Procurement, Construction,Commissioning (EPCC) projects is requiredExperience in Commercial building, Clean Room and ToolInstall construction desiredExperience with the following software applicationspreferred: Trimble GCEstimator (WinEst, Modelogix, Vico) andMicrosoft office suite (Excel, Word, etc)Ability to prepare conceptual cost model estimates fromlimited information using local historic cost informationUnderstands the fundamental concepts of engineeringdrawingsAbility to effectively perform material take offsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExceptional organization and coordination skillsAbility to travel to support both project and corporateneedsGet more than just a job
