to join our St. Petersburg, FL Team.

Summary:
Participates in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements in the purchase or sale/delivery of equipment, materials, products or services. Evaluates contract compliance and advises others on contractual rights and obligations. Requests or approves amendments to contract terms or contract extensions. Prepares bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications and requirements; negotiates contract terms and participates in the determination of acceptable bids.
Major Position Responsibilities:
Directs all activities in the organization's contracts administration function
Oversees the preparation and administration of bids, proposals, negotiations, and contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements
Directs the contracts administration staff and guides compliance with complex contractual and regulatory requirements
Manages and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provides guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals
Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations
Provides strategies on the negotiation of complex or high-value contracts
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership
Basic Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree
OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
12-15 years’ experience in a relevant function
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business or relevant degree
Experience within the defense industry
Preferred professional procurement/contracting certifications at the state or national levels, such as certifications offered by NCMA, CFCM, CPCM
Government contracts experience
Working knowledge of munitions: associated platforms, strategic and tactical systems, and military munitions/platform interface requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of concepts, principles, practices and procedures of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments
Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface
Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines
Strong written, digital and verbal communication skills in both an individual and team environment
Looks for ways to improve and promote quality
Must be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to reprioritize on the fly
Works within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safety
Decisions are guided by policy, procedures and business plan
Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment
