Chief Purpose of this position:
The Department of Surgery at VCU & VCU Health System is recruiting for a pediatric surgeon to support the Division of Pediatric Surgery. This role will provide patient care to pediatric surgery patients as well as provide call coverage of approximately 2 calls per month. The provider will be expected to incorporate resident, fellow, and medical student education while on call.
Position Responsibilities:
Clinicalresponsibility will be in the care of the pediatric patients on the MCV campusof VCU. The provider will also be responsible for call coverage of at least 2 callsper month. The provider will be expected to incorporate residents, fellows, andmedical students into their practice while on call.
Required Qualifications:Board certification or eligibility in general surgery and pediatric surgeryFellowship trained in pediatric surgeryCommitment to resident and fellow educationDemonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
