Chief Purpose of this position:

The Department of Radiology at VCU is currently seeking a Pediatric Radiologist to join our existing group of four Pediatric Radiologists, all of whom have either attained their Certificates of Additional Qualification from the American Board of Radiology or are eligible to do so.

This full-time pediatric radiology position will provide specialized diagnostic radiology - pediatric imaging interpretation, including CT, MR, US, fluoroscopy, and radiographs excluding interventional radiology and nuclear medicine, with the use of state-of-the-art equipment. They will also train residents within the large, highly productive academic radiology department.

Position Responsibilities:Teaching - Provide training to medical students, residents and fellows who rotate through the Department of Radiology.Research - Continue to promote professional relationships with all Pediatric subspecialties to foster interdisciplinary research.Service - Time and effort is expected to be devoted to academic service-related activities. This shall include School of Medicine, VCU Health and departmental committee work, professional growth and other such assignments.Clinical - Provide high quality sub-specialized imaging interpretations for assigned modalities in support of the referring physicians and patients of the VCUHS. Responsibilities include all facets of pediatric radiology (conventional radiographs, CT, MR, US, and fluoroscopy). Special interest or skills in acute care imaging and oncology. Daily clinical duties and call coverage is divided equally among all faculty within the section. Most teaching is conducted during daily read-out sessions with residents. Pediatric Radiology faculty also share in the division's responsibility to deliver didactic and case-based conferences to Radiology Residents and rotating Medical Students. The Section of Pediatric Radiology is embedded in the clinical care team at CHoR, participating actively in multidisciplinary conferences, rounds, quality meetings, and patient safety initiatives.Required Qualifications:

ABR certification or documentation of passing core component of the ABR examinationPediatric Radiology fellowship training or equivalent Pediatric Radiology experienceCandidates must have a current license to practice medicine in Virginia or the ability to qualify for licensureCandidates must have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCUMust be eligible for permanent employment in the USAPreferred Qualifications:

Earned or eligible to earn Certificate of Additional Qualifications from the American Board of Radiology
