SOM Musculoskeletal Radiologist

Mission or Goal of Unit: The mission of the Department of Radiology is to create aworld-class department by providing optimal care in a patient-centeredenvironment, providing sub-specialty expertise, providing top quality imagingand therapeutic procedures, and to advance medical education and research, witha vision to create a department that is recognized as top tier nationally andinternationally.Chief Purpose of this position: To provide sub-specialized musculoskeletal imaging interpretations and interventions, with the use of state-of-the-art equipment. This musculoskeletal radiology position will train residents and fellows within our large, highly productive radiology department.Position Responsibilities: Teaching - Provide training to medical students, residents and fellows, who rotate through the Department of Radiology.Research - Maintain professional relationships and collaboration with the specialists in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery as well as other departments to foster interdisciplinary research.Service - Time and effort is expected to be devoted to academic service-related activities.
