The Clinician conducts mental health assessments, provides ongoing individual and group counseling services, screens for human trafficking concerns, and provides crisis intervention services.
Essential Job Functions:Ensure effectiveness of clinical services.Responsible for initial client intakes and assessments, including assessing appropriate levels of care, recommending referrals, trauma screening and human trafficking screenings.Individual counseling of clients.Group counseling of clients.Represent the program in clinical providers meetings.Facilitate foster parent trainings as needed.Provide emergency on-call back-up support for the on-call case managers as needed.Job Requirements:
Excellent written and oral communication proficiencyExcellent time management and organizational skillsExcellent managerial skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to get along with people of diverse backgroundsCulturally competentMaster of Social Work (MSW) or a master's degree in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement.Must be licensed or license eligible to provide clinical services in CT, e.g., LCSW, LPC, LCt least 2 years of providing postgraduate direct service to a child or adolescent population.Bilingual.
