With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

Catawba Community Mental Health Center serves York, Chester and Lancaster Counties of South Carolina.

Under the limited supervision of the Catawba Community Mental Health Center (CCMHC) Medical Director, provides psychiatric services to CCMHC patients. Performs professional duties requiring analysis of a broad spectrum of medically related problems. Plans various interrelated medical activities within the facility; responsible for medically related administrative functions in the clinic.

Responsibilities for this

Position Title

include but are not limited to:

Evaluates the need for, plans and provides psychiatric treatment for outpatient and emergency services for the patients of the Catawba Community Mental Health Center during a normal work week (37.5 hours).Consults and collaborates with staff (case managers and therapists) in formal (SPD, treatment teams), as well as, informal settings. Assists Medical Director and Executive Director in assuring that clinical staff receive appropriate clinical supervision. Assists with staff training and acts as a community liaison with the local medical community. Meets with appropriate clinical supervisor(s) to review clinical and administrative needs of the clinic.Provides supervision and guidance to Nurse Practitioner as needed.Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements:Licensed to practice medicine in SC. and completion of full residency (4years) in psychiatry.
