Job Summary:To provide supervision for athletic programs (including participants, players, coaches, officials, spectators), perform necessary maintenance to fields and courts before and after games, serve as primary source of information for on-site communication for patrons, check in with officials on game fields, and provide overall supervision to the program site to facilitate activities, promote safety, and to help prevent vandalism.
Qualifications:Minimum 16 years of age, high school graduate preferred.

þ Seasonal þ NonexemptEssential Functions and ResponsibilitiesGeneral AdministrationCollect program fees, check residency when appropriate.Supervise patrons' participation in recreational programs and activities; ensure smooth and safe play.Maintain control of activity and site.Complete all necessary forms and paperwork related to activity.Responsible for performing all other duties as directed by the Program Manager-Athletics and/or League Coordinator.Enforce all facility rules, including roster checks.Complete program/facility set up and clean up.B. Safety, Health, and Loss Control
Support, promote, and make recommendations regarding all safety, health, and loss control policies.Be familiar with Employee Safety/Staff Manuals.Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks.Responsible for providing all injury, illness, and health information required by Lombard Park District in its effort to assign tasks within an individual's capacity to prevent potential injury or illness.Responsible for notification of injury/illness relating to a task assigned as described in the Employee Safety Manual.Marginal Functions
Knowledge of sport.Essential Functions
Ability to work with money successfully.Record keeping ability.Ability to complete and file written records.Organizational skills.Problem-solving skills.Communication skills.Program set-up and clean-up.Ability to perform field maintenance.Complete required paperwork, including inspections and PDRMA reports.Psychological Considerations
Must be able to mediate small disputes to keep play smooth (problem-solving abilities) and communicate with supervisor accordingly.Able to deal with injuries and emergencies as they occur; crisis communication.Physiological Considerations
Physically able to set up activities and maintain athletic fields and courts.Lifting ability is necessary.Environmental Considerations
May spend long periods of time exposed to the elements (outside).May be inside warm areas for long periods.Requirements
Good communication skills.Must be dependable.Be able to lift 20 lbs. Encouraged to use mechanical assistance for lifting over 20 lbs.Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
