Job Summary:
The University of Colorado School of Medicine seeks a general Pediatric Neurologist to join our group of pediatric neurologists, including two epileptologists and three nurse practitioners at their growing Children's Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs site.
Our busy outpatient practice is located in a multidisciplinary ambulatory center facilitating collaboration with other pediatric subspecialists including Developmental and Behavioral pediatrics, Genetics and Neurosurgery. We staff a 4 bed EMU and consult for a 121 bed free standing Children's hospital including a 16 bed PICU a 50 bed NICU and a level 2 trauma pediatric emergency department. Our mission is to provide excellent pediatric neurology care to southern Colorado and neighboring states. The parent campus, University of Colorado (CU) Anschutz Medical Campus, is a public education, clinical and research facility serving 4,500 students, and a world-class medical destination at the forefront of life-changing science, medicine, and healthcare.Colorado Springs was named the most desirable place to live in 2018 by the Us News and World Report. It has been named as the fastest growing city for millennials by the Metropolitan Policy Program at Brookings. It is nestled at the foot of the southern Rocky Mountains and is located near the base of Pikes Peak.
Key Responsibilities:
This is primarily a clinical position covering outpatient services for general neurology patients with some inpatient evaluation and management of children in our EMU.
Inpatient call is shared equally with the other neurologists and provides coverage for the inpatient services and ED as well as calls from outside EDs and providers.

Assistant Professor
0 - 4 years of experience as an attending physician (assistant professor)
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology.
Associate Professor
4 - 6 years of experience as an attending physician and academic qualifications to fulfill requirements of associate professor rank
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology.
Professor
6 - 8 years of experience as an attending physician and academic qualifications to fulfill requirements of professor rank
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Epilepsy training with qualifications to read EEGs is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Willing to collaborate with the medical team to provide the highest quality of care to patients and their families.
Ability to diagnose and treat patients with neurological diagnoses.

$250,000 - $290,000
