JOB DESCRIPTION
The Level IV Cath Lab RN
Cath Lab Registered Nurse is accountable for provision of competent care based on established standards.
12 hours, D/E/N ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULES, Weekends/Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs
The Cath lab is an inpatient and outpatient procedural labs focusing on mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients for the upstate New York region.The four Cath labs and three EP labs care for adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of patient conditions.The Cath lab has a comprehensive program with pre and post procedural care holding area.The practice model is rich with RN staff with CVT collaboration focusing on excellent patient outcome and satisfaction.QUALIFICATIONS
BLS and ACLSNational Institutes of Health (NIH)Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careRequires a minimum of two years of current RN Cath Lab experience.Graduate from a fully accredited RN programActive unencumbered New York RN state licenseOne year of Epic experienceFamiliar with Device and Ablation procedures and equipmentModerate sedation trainedDysrhythmiaCardiovascular certified or RCES preferredRequirements
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
