Job Title: Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Integration/Test EngineerLocation: Schriever Space Force Base, COJob Description
The selected applicant will become part of an integrated contractor team as a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Integration and Test Engineer supporting high fidelity/ high-resolution modeling of the Missile Defense System (MDS). This position involves hands-on support for Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) distributed software threat simulations used in the testing and training of MDA’s tactical systems. Tasks include installation and configuration of the Model and Simulation software; troubleshooting and root cause analysis of anomalies and defects, and providing technical support during various MDA activities. In support of these tasks, the candidate is expected to adhere to current processes and procedures, participate in document reviews, attend limited meetings, provide status as requested, and collaborate with team members in person and electronically.Daily participation on a team that develops and implements integration processesServe as a Test Engineer and technical representative to the government as neededEnsure consistent test processes across M&S environmentsDraft technical instructions, test plans, and other system integration related documentsIdentify and support resolution of enterprise level, system of systems issuesDevelop, Integrate and Test Missile Defense Scenarios and Test CasesTroubleshoot Missile Defense Simulation Software ComponentsDesign, Develop and Maintain Analysis Software ToolsCreate and maintain user accountsPerform hardware/software/network integrationJob Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical discipline and a minimum of eight (8) years directly related software integration experienceDemonstrated understanding of the Missile Defense SystemThis position requires the selected candidate to have an active DoD Secret clearanceRequired Skills:
Working knowledge of the Linux operating system (or other Unix variants)Proficient in either Python, Perl or Bash/Shell Scripting languagesBasic understanding of C++, Java and/or other programming languagesExperience developing test plans and integration objectivesExperience in formulating and defining system scope and objectives based on user needsCandidate must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal direction, and experienced in staff coordinationMust have strong interpersonal and analytical skills to work as a team playerStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Capabilities/Experience:
Experience with hardware/software/network integrationExperience with troubleshooting hardware and software defectsExperience with Ballistic Missile Defense programsSecurity+ and Linux+ certifiedTest and Execution for the GMD System Trainer (GST)System Test requirements for verification of new capabilities
