We're the Video Experience (VX) team, part of the Microsoft AI organization. Our goal is to make consumer video experience awesome across Microsoft products. Empower Decision-Making: Dive deep into our data universe using the Microsoft data stack, including SQL and Kusto (Azure Data Explorer), to unearth insights that drive strategic decisions.Drive Excellence: Utilize our advanced metrics data from PowerBI & TITAN dashboards to not just interpret the present but to forecast the future, shaping the strategic direction of the VX organization.Be the Storyteller: Master the art of data storytelling, creating compelling narratives and visualizations that resonate with the VX leadership, influencing key decisions.Strategic Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with product managers & stakeholders, translating vague concepts into clear action plans, and ensuring your analytical prowess contributes to our collective success.Other:Design experiments, analyze results and produce actionable, trustworthy conclusions from them.Build new metrics: Help to design, build and measure consumer behavior from telemetry data especially focusing on the video feature impact on the consumer app.Leverage modern techniques in ML/AI to understand our user behavior and surfacing insights.Play a crucial role in defining and refining OKR targets that align with our ambitions, continuously monitoring and steering our journey towards excellence.Be the guardian of data accuracy, employing meticulous validation and testing to maintain the highest standards of data integrity.Collaborate across the organization by using data to unlock key insights to drive business growth.Partner with product management and the advertising teams to extract revenue data and growth paths.Embody our Culture and Values

Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related fieldOR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results) or consulting experienceOR Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)OR equivalent experience.

Data Science IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
