A law firm is seeking a dedicated Labor Employment Associate Attorney to join their Los Angeles, CA office. The successful candidate will work closely with the office's established team of litigators and a robust client base, providing significant opportunities for growth and advancement. This role requires excellent legal research and writing skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a preference for labor and employment litigation experience, although general civil litigation experience is also welcome.Duties and ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in labor and employment litigation, including disputes related to discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour issues.Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and court appearances.Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on various labor and employment issues.Develop and maintain client relationships through effective communication and service.Assist in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures for clients.Stay current with developments in labor and employment law to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure high-quality and efficient legal services.RequirementsAdmitted to the California Bar.1-6 years of experience in a law firm or in-house setting.Preference for candidates with labor and employment litigation experience; general civil litigation experience is also welcome.Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.CertificationsActive membership in the California Bar Association.SkillsExceptional legal research and writing capabilities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective oral and written communication skills.Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.Proficiency in legal research tools and software.High level of professionalism and ethical standards.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
