Head of School (HoS)

is the school's chief executive officer (CEO). The HoS is responsible for carrying out all aspects of the school's purposes, educational objectives, and policies, as established by the Board and as reflected in the bylaws, and developing internal policy in agreement with the school's philosophy, mission, values, and goals.The school is committed to providing quality international Christian education in English. Education for the whole student based on a foundation of Biblical truth in an international and nurturing environment, developing students spiritually, academically, and culturally. To grow in the love of Jesus Christ and knowledge of Biblical principles that govern their relationships with others and to apply their faith to the realities of living in the secular world. To establish a passion for learning, and a desire to explore and investigate, using the skills of critical reasoning and creative thinking. To cultivate skills to thrive cross-culturally as they learn to respect, appreciate, and evaluate their own culture, the host culture, and other cultures around the world. Enrollment accepted for students entering kindergarten through twelfth grade (K-12).IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILEMasters in School Administration or Christian LeadershipMeets ACSI certification requirements.2 years of administrative experience as Principal or Assistant Principal.3 years minimum of classroom experienceSome level of proficiency in the Russian language is preferred, though not requiredJOB DESCRIPTIONSpiritual Climate at SchoolModel Christ-like behavior and attitudes.Cultivate the spiritual health of the staff and studentsEnsure that the educational content and activities reflect a Biblical worldview and ethic.School and Educational OperationsAssure the development of high-performance standards in educational achievement according to ACSI accreditation standards.Ensure the creation and implementation of a comprehensive school development plan.Ensure that order and discipline are maintained in accordance with school policy. In typical cases, the Head of School is the last line of responsibility for student and staff discipline.Responsible for ensuring excellence in student enrollment, admissions, and retention.School and Business OperationsPresents the annual financial budget to the Board for approval and abides by itPresents regular financial reports to the Board at the request of the Board.Responsible for developing, using, and maintaining the school's facilities, equipment, property, and transportation.School RelationshipsMaintain visibility with the Board, faculty and staff, students, and parents.Maintains an active presence in Board meetings and ongoing proceedings.Provides regular HoS reports and keeps the Board informed.Faculty and Staff EmploymentResponsible for recruiting and hiring new faculty and staff.Maintains accessibility to faculty and staff.Assures that faculty and staff are committed to the school's philosophy, mission statement, and instructional goals.Acts as the primary supervisor of faculty and staff care.
