Great role for an Appellate Attorney with 2-5 years experience in Litigation. The ideal candidate will have NY bar and varied Litigation experience. An interest in writing and strengths in: drafting briefs, pleadings, discovery, depositions, handling factual and legal issues are important for this role.Job DescriptionAs Appellate Associate Key Responsibilities include:Research and writing, familiar with appellate rulesDrafting and arguing appealsMotions practiceWorking on defense of mass tort litigation, providing advice and guidance on complex legal issuesStrong communication externally and internally, working closely with the wider practice groupActively contributing to the development and maintenance of client relationshipsThe Successful ApplicantThe successful Appellate Attorney will have demonstrable experience including:Admitted to practice in NY2-5 years relevant Appellate and Litigation defense experienceAppellate and litigation defense experience, ideally mass tort experience including research and writing - drafting and arguing appeals and motion practices are important for this roleStrong writing, organizational and time management skillsForward thinking, highly collaborative approachWhat's on OfferThe Appellate Attorney will receive the following benefits:$100,000 - $150,000 PA base salary (depending on experience)Generous wider benefits package and annual performance bonus (2000 hours billable target)Genuinely healthy approach to work-life balance, hybrid role (prestigious NYC office)Interviews commence early July - candidates must be available to interview and start in July/ AugustCandidates must be admitted to the New York State Bar
