JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Nights 6:30pm - 7:00am Every other weekend 36 hours / week 13 week assignment
Medical 28 bed unit General Medical patients Cardiology, Pulmonary, Neurology, Nephrology Surgical 22 bed unit General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, ENT 24 hour Hospitalist coverage Staffing Ratio goal of 1:5 on Days and 1:6 on Nights
QUALIFICATIONSDiploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.Required a minimum of 1 year of experience.Basic Life Support (BLS)Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing requiredRequirements:
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
