Job Details
Day to Day Responsibilities: Evaluate manufacturing processes to improve product quality, process efficiencies and machine reliability. Research, identify and implement robotics technology for use on the plant floor. Manage the launch and programming of all robotics utilized within the company. Create and document training and technical procedures for robotics across the organization. Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for robotics. Develop new control systems and modify existing systems. Work with plant production to evaluate areas for process improvement and then oversee improvement from concept to implementation. Troubleshoot equipment problems; identify need for new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment to optimize performance and reliability. Work with mechanical and electrical departments identifying and resolving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems problems. Design and implement solutions to plant safety and equipment projects. Maintain records of all plant equipment and their modifications, updating files and AutoCAD drawings to ensure accurate information is on file. Research new technologies and investigate their integration into plant applications. Communicate with plant employees to incorporate shop floor user knowledge into design elements. Lead and promote safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy. Responsible for special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications: 10 years of experience with engineering or maintenance Heavy industrial industry experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field Experience with programming and troubleshooting PLCs and Robotics.

Specifically: Allen Bradley; Siemens; and Fanuc Ability to read electrical prints Understanding of ladder logic Knowledge of AC overhead cranes, DC Motors and Control Comprehension of industrial equipment, repair and plant operations. Comprehensive Electrical Knowledge Ability to travel to various locations throughout the US as needed
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in tubing and/or steel related industry preferred
