Our Client Has An Excellent Opportunity For a Talented Electrical Engineer To Support Medium-voltage Infrastructure Projects In Our Long Beach Or Irvine CA Offices. The Ideal Candidate Will Have 5 To 10 Years Of Experience With:
Medium voltage (2.4kV - 35kV) infrastructure design for commercial and industrial facilities that is suitable for public bid, including specification of associated switchgear, transformers, and other related medium voltage equipment.Specification and coordination of protective relaying and SCADA systems for medium voltage electrical systems.
Requirements:Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, majoring in Power and Energy Systems.Active PE License is preferred.Minimum 5 years experience.Able to work on electrical infrastructure design projects with minimal supervision.Experience using AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit.Prior experience working on commercial/industrial infrastructure projects. Must be able to access and perform site visits.
Working Knowledge:California Electrical Code.National Electrical Code.California Energy Code.Microsoft Office Suite.Revit a plus.AutoCAD a plus.
Duties:Pre-Design Engineering:Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment report.Prepare electrical schematic designs.
Project Management:Demonstrate ability to manage multiple large-size projects involving other senior engineers and sub-consultants.Provide mentorship to design engineers.Prepare proposals independently for clients.Demonstrate active development of business with new and existing clients.
Construction Administration:Review and respond to RFI’s.Review equipment submittals.Perform punch walks and prepare punch list report.
