The OpportunityHyatt seeks an enthusiastic Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Platform Operations, Systems Engineering, and Product Engineering teams, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. This includes preparation and review of platform updates, monthly and quarterly planned work as well as contributing to the team vision and roadmap. Additional responsibilities include assisting in enhancing development platforms and participating in special projects incorporating a wide range of technical exposure.QualificationsExperience Required:3+ years of experience developing continuous integration and deployment systems2+ years of Docker and Kubernetes2+ years building and operating access management; Conjure; Hashicorp Vault2+ years deploying observability platforms such as Datadog2+ years with Ansible and Salt Stack or similar configuration management tool2+ years experience with modern web and mobile application environments (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, routing, load balancing, CDNs, WAF security, etc)Experience with Stash/Bitbucket, SVN, or similar code repository toolConfigure and manage shared platforms, Confluence, Jira, JenkinsUnderstanding of networking concepts and DNS managementExperience Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field plus 3 years of experiencePrior experience with software development as an engineerAny professional certificationsThe position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all-encompassing.
