You enjoy working with others, are results driven and are looking for a variety of opportunities to develop personally and professionally.The RoleThe VP of Development Sales Operations will lead the transformation of business development tools and processes to enable Hyatt’s dynamic growth in the Americas region. This senior leader will report to the Head of Americas Development and support Hyatt Developers, team leaders, and partner teams throughout the development cycle – from lead management to pre-opening support.Key Responsibilities:Developer Empowerment: Directs leadership to ensure Development sales team members have the resources, tools, and insights needed to identify new opportunities and close deals efficiently and effectively; partners with Development leaders to remove impediments to high performance.Strategic Execution: Collaborates with leadership to define and execute regional development sales strategies, identify and prioritize opportunities, and deploy resources to achieve desired outcomes and scorecard goals; reassesses priorities periodically and recommends changes to the strategic approach when appropriate.Team Leadership: Establishes and leads the Development Sales Operations team, reshaping roles, providing guidance, and supporting a Growth Mindset for team members and partners; introduces operations best practices to global development teams.Process Optimization: Drives continuous improvement initiatives to streamline development processes (including the application process), optimize resource allocation, and enhance operational efficiency.Technology Adoption: Identifies opportunities to scale processes through technology adoption, including the use of AI, automation, and applications from beyond the hospitality industry; directs evolution of the development technology stack.Compensation Management: Collaborates with development leaders and human resources to evolve and maintain an industry leading incentive program; leads program administration, reporting, and communication with key stakeholders.Performance Analytics & Reporting: Evolves the analytics framework and capabilities; analyzes sales performance metrics, industry trends, and competitive data to identify opportunities, evaluate effectiveness, and optimize sales strategies; directs the performance reporting and communications strategy.Sales Forecasting: Oversees sales planning and forecasting processes, leveraging data analytics and market trends to develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets; monitors performance against targets and implements corrective actions as needed.QualificationsExperience Required:Bachelor’s degree10+ years’ experience leading enterprise sales or development operationsProficiency in Sales Technology tools including Salesforce or similar CRM platformExperience Preferred:Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Analytics or related field preferredSales or sales leadership experience preferredExperience in hotel/hospitality/travel business development vastly preferredThe position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing.
