A nonprofit health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their Day Programs & Clinics in Brooklyn. In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing evaluation, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention and monitoring treatment plan and progress.
Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse (RN) will:Arrange medical services for persons served and issues medical referrals as neededProvide follow-up on medical problems for persons servedConduct training for staff in medical administration, personal hygiene, basic first aid, dental hygiene, infection control, etc.Handle control of communicable diseases and infections through identification and assessmentMonitor required staff health records and provides tests in accordance with regulatory agency requirementsProvide immediate first aid with referral to outside emergency services or private physicianParticipate in routine individual case reviews.Prepare and maintain medical documentation on each person servedAdminister medications and supervise certified staff in administrationProvide first aid and attends to emergency needs of persons servedPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of NursingNYS Registered Nurse (RN)CPR certificationSolid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsPatient orientedGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:
1+ year of Nursing experience with the delivery of Community-based Health Services to individuals with Developmental DisabilitiesBachelor's Degree in Nursing
