Monday - Friday 2-10 pm and Saturday 9am - 1pmResponsibilities:The Registered Nurse (RN) will:
Provide general nursing care to patients, including: administering prescribed medications and treatmentsAssist with applicant screening, selection, training, providing feedback for performance evaluations, and providing information related to employee discipline and termination of staffPrepare equipment and aid the Physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patientsPrepare prescriptions or medication refills, for review and signature by providerContact patients with test results and provide recommendations on cases per Physician determination and/or standards of careFacilitate clinical messages and chronic condition management education to patientsTriage urgent same day or double booked appointment requestsDocument progress notes in electronic health record within 24 hoursManage in-basket requests and responds to all requests in a timely mannerPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:
1+ year of related Nursing experience in Ambulatory and/or Hospital settingGraduate of an accredited School of NursingNYS Registered Nurse (RN) licenseBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationGastro / GI experience or experience in an Operating Room, PACU, and/or Medical-Surgical settingKnowledge of Medical Chart ReportingSolid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsPatient orientedGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:
Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in NursingExperience in a Cardiology and/or similar settingWorking knowledge of Epic EMRs
